My story so far

Lord I pray for control in times when I need to stay quiet. I thankyou Lord for our area and the times in which we can all come together to worship you. I love just singing my heart out, I couldn't be more happier then when I'm singing. Thankyou Lord for the things you are doing in my life right now. Amen

Lord I thankyou for those answers to pray. i thankyou that you have put people in my life when I need them. When I think people are leaving, you have been faithful. Although without these people I would still have you Lord. I thankyou for my friends now, who are there for me and stick with me through times and trouble. I thankyou Lord for these people. Amen

Lord I thankyou for rest. we talk about sabbeth rest and how we need it, you need it, and all creation needs it. I pray Lord that you would refrsh all christian hearts Lord this weekend and for this upcoming week, where people will feel tierd, tested and drained. i pray you would lift these people up in their hour of need.
Amen

Lord I thankyou again for my family. You blessed me with them and I just hope that when we move away to different parts of the wolrd or country, that you would keep our bond tight and the core of it is through you. I pray that parents would be refreshed and relaxed through hard times and that siblings come to understand one another if there are disagreements. Thankyou lord. Amen

Lord I thankyou for young children. Their enthusiasm to cause trouble and just run around. I thankyou that people have being put into their lives that know you and can explain. I thankyou Lord for all you do in our church. Amen

Lord we just need to keep focus.
- The best way to draw a striaght line is to focus on its end point
- The best way to take an exam is to shut out all distractions and focus on the questions
- The best way to drive a car safely is to focus on the road and the traffic around you
- The best way an accomplished musician or athlete is to focus your time and talent on training and practise
- The best way to accomplish things is to focus on goals
- The best way to love God is to focus on knowing Christ and doing his will

1 Corinthians 7:29-35

Lord I thankyou for all those who are closest to me and pray that my relationships with them would become even greater and deeper, and the same to for my relationship with you. Amen

Isn't it funny how we realy on technology for everything. Cars, mobile phones, TV, computers. And when one breaks, it seems as if it is the end of the world.
Lord I pray that in times of needless trouble when I think the world is over because of an earthly material that you would remind me who I should be thinking about. I thankyou Lord for keeping me close to you. Amen

Lord I thankyou for Baptism. I thankyou that in baptism you have shown and demonstrated through your son Jesus that we are given a new start, a new life when we rise up out of the water. I thankyou for your love in this time and I pray that you guide me through this next week. Amen

Matthew 3:13-16

Lord I pray for goverment. As they have a party conference this week in Manchester, I pray that the ideas shared and the speeches given would represent a majority view and that you would have some influence on decisions and view points created. I pray for those there and the CSM that they are blessed from other christians from within the party that want to try and put you in the highest seat, and that no other person is given that merit, because only you deserve it. Amen

Lord I thank you for the community of christians. Yesterday, I watched as young chirstians who did not know each other, talked about you, shared about you, and worship you. I thankyou Lord for the young people in our church. I pray that they keep on going through secondary school, even though tough times might seem to knock them down, I pray that you would pick them up. Amen

Lord I pray for those who do not know you, all the non christians in the world. I pray that you put christians in their communities that are shining beacons of light for you Lord. Amen

Lord I again pray for patience. I pray that you bless me with it Lord, because I'm not always the most patient of people. i hope that you bless those who test others, and that they know you are there. I thankyou that you are always there for me when I need you, and that no matter what people say, I know you are alive!

John the Baptist was so surprised when asked him to baptise Jesus. He didn't feel worthy to baptise the son of God. Lord I pray that we all have the courage to stand and be counted and do everything in your strength. I pray for those people getting baptised in the future Lord, that you fill them with your spirit, your fire, your passion as they make this comitment to you and your son Jesus as he did on that day on the Jordan River. Amen

Matthew 3:13 Jesus left Galilee and went to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. 14 But John kept objecting and said, "I ought to be baptized by you. Why have you come to me?" 15 Jesus answered, "For now this is how it should be, because we must do all that God wants us to do." Then John agreed. 16 So Jesus was baptized. And as soon as he came out of the water, the sky opened, and he saw the Spirit of God coming down on him like a dove. 17 Then a voice from heaven said, "This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him."

Lord, I thankyou that you are there when even small numbers gather. I thankyou for tonight and the time spent with my brothers and sisters worshiping and praying. I pray that the prays said tonight, will be answered and that our church will grow spiritually and together as a unit.

Philippians 2:1 Christ encourages you, and his love comforts you. God's Spirit unites you, and you are concerned for others. 2 Now make me completely happy! Live in harmony by showing love for each other. Be united in what you think, as if you were only one person. 3 Don't be jealous or proud, but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves.4 Care about them as much as you care about yourselves 5 and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought: 6 Christ was truly God. But he did not try to remain equal with God. 7 Instead he gave up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us. 8 Christ was humble. He obeyed God and even died on a cross. 9 Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others. 10 So at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down, those in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. 11 And to the glory of God the Father everyone will openly agree, "Jesus Christ is Lord!"

Lord I thank you for the time I spend with my non- christian friends.I pray that I may be a blessing from you to them. I hope that in me trying to live a life for you may show them there is more to life then alcohol and sex. I hope that you shine your light through me to my friends so that they may see your love to them.

Shine Jesus shine, fill this land with the fathers glory.

Lord I thankyou for music. It can be such a big influence on many people's lives. I know it plays a major part in mine through worshiping you. Lord I thankyou for blessing us with knowledge and wisdom in this area of your creation. I pray that through worship songs and every other aspect of worshiping you, that I might continually keep on growing with you. Amen

Lord, I thankyou for trust. It is such a hard thing to earn or show. I pray that it is one of the things I share with people in my life. I thankyou for your love shown to me, the trust and forgiveness. Even though none of us deserve it, yet by your grace you give us it. Thankyou Lord.

Lord, I thankyou for community. I pray that people in the world and this country would share community with one another, with kind gestures. The difference a thank you and please could make to someones day is quite astonishing. So I pray Lord that the people of this nation know your love and kindness and seek it in their lives as I do in mine.

Lord, I pray for patience in my studies. I pray that I would not take time for granted and that I use it wisely, not only in my education but in time spent with you Lord.You made everything in this world. The things I think are wonderful and amazing, you made them. So I pray that you bless me with gratitude for time.

Exodus 17

Lord I pray that, the feeling I feel of guilt after not doing what you want me to do or doing something that is not glorifying you , I pray that this feeling is over powered by your love. I pray that in times of decisions that I would look to you instead of earthly things. I pray that you keep me with you and I hope I can keep up with you in this walk of life that seems so fast. Amen

Listening to a song today. "Greater things are still to come, greater things are still to be done in this city". Lord I know you will never leave or forget this world. You sent your son to die for us. I thankyou that you have not forgotten this generation, and I pray you keep working within us and the lives of everyone. Amen

Proverbs 2:1-10
1 My child, you must follow and treasure my teachings and my instructions.2 Keep in tune with wisdom and think what it means to have common sense. 3 Beg as loud as you can for good common sense. 4 Search for wisdom as you would search for silver or hidden treasure. 5 Then you will understand what it means to respect and to know the LORD God. 6 All wisdom comes from the LORD, and so do common sense and understanding. 7 God gives helpful advice to everyone who obeys him and protects all of those who live as they should. 8 God sees that justice is done, and he watches over everyone who is faithful to him. 9 With wisdom you will learn what is right and honest and fair. 10 Wisdom will control your mind, and you will be pleased with knowledge.

Lord I pray that you will give me wisdom and the knowledge to know what to do and what not to do. I pray that your wisdom helps me to have what is mentioned in these verses. Amen

Lord, help me realise that I need to keep my mind on you and that when I feel something is wrong, then I should look to you. May you watch over me and protect me in these weeks to come. Thankyou for the young people of this world. I pray that you warm their hearts to you. Thankyou for the young people that are already christians, I pray that you stay with them through school and other aspects of their lives. Amen

Lord I pray that the tests and trials that I am going through right now, you would be the centre of it all. That whenever I feel like giving up you are there to pick me up when I fall. Amen

You are my rock in times of trouble.
You lift me up when I fall down.
All through the storm Your love is the anchor,

A personal statement for a job application or for a university application can be a hard thing to complete. Most people think more about the negatives rather than the positives. Nevertheless, Psalm 8 tells us everything we need to know to put in that personal statement and the only person who needs to like it is God.

8:1 (A psalm by David for the music leader.) Our LORD and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth! You let your glory be seen in the heavens above.
8:2 With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless.
8:3 I often think of the heavens your hands have made, and of the moon and stars you put in place.
8:4 Then I ask, "Why do you care about us humans? Why are you concerned for us weaklings?8:5 You made us a little lower than you yourself, and you have crowned us with glory and honor.
8:6 You let us rule everything your hands have made. And you put all of it under our power-- 8:7 the sheep and the cattle, and every wild animal,
8:8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and all ocean creatures.
8:9 Our LORD and Ruler, your name is wonderful everywhere on earth!
