My story so far

God and His word have never been more relevant than they are today.

Lord I thankyou that you have created a map guide for me in this life. Your word is essential to my life as a christian. I'm sorry that I have not taken as much interest in it as I should. I pray now that as I now look at the bible more closely, that you bless me with your wisdom and blessings from within the bible.

For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Proverbs 2:6

Heavenly Father: I want your perfect will for my life - even when it means you must say no to something I've asked of you. I know that your plan for my life is far better than my own. Help me as I resolve to walk in that difficult truth.

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. - Proverbs 16:9

Thankyou Lord Jesus for my family and the people you have placed in my family. Not only in my blood relations but my church family and the love and compassion that everyone shows me. I pray for broken relationships I have, that you might be at work in connecting them back up.

God's mercies never take a vacation. They are renewed every morning and ready to be dispensed.

Lord I thankyou that you are constantly reminding me this week that I matter to you and nothing I do that is sinful can make you love me less. I am starting to realise that you love me so much, that whatever I do, you still love me the same as always. I thankyou for this grace that you have given me and pray that I keep on believing that you are with me and forgive me always.

He saved us, not becuase of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. - Titus 3:5

No matter what our troubles in life, God is an expert in dealing with them.

Lord I thankyou that I can give all my worries to you and then you can go on to sort them out, because nothing is too big for you. I thankyou that you will look after me when there are bad times and also good times. Thankyou for your protection when times are hard.

God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the times comes. - Matthew 6:34

God's love for us and His acceptence of us are permanent. We will never be rejected.

Lord I pray that you remind that it's not about being accepted by the world and the people in it, but it's all about living a life that is acceptable to you. I thankyou that you have given me this amazing opportunity, and I pray now from now on that I would give it a better shot.

Evil communications corrupt good manners. - 1 Corinthians 15:33

A move toward acceptance and a desire to understand can allow God's love to flow through us to touch the deepest places of the heart.

Lord I'm sorry for the times when I have labelled people in different ways. When actually you see everyone the same and I should follow your example, because if I see everyone from the inside, then I can get closer to you and the love everyone has for you.

People judge by outward appearence, but the Lord looks at a person's thoughts and intentions. - 1 Samuel 16:7

God will help us tell the truth - just ask Him. He honestly loves us!

I thankyou that you died on the cross for me, but I pray now Lord that I would respect your sacrifice and not mock your son's life by lieing or doing anything that is wrong in your eyes.

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. - Colossians - 4:6

Holy Father: By your grace, you have given me every good gift, especially the gift of your son. Not only have you given to me, you have also made me worthy to recieve your gifts. What a wonderful father you are!

Jesus said, 'Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks recieves; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened'. - Matthew 7:7-8

God won't lead us contrary to what He has declared in His word.

Lord I thankyou that you drive me, and that you can lead me the way your holy spirit wants me to go. Lord I pray that you continue to help me make the decisions in my life with me and help me learn about making those decisions in my life.

I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. - Isaiah 48:17

God's grace is like a fine perfume or cologne: Every time we pour it on others, it ends up splashing on us.

Lord I thankyou for the different abilities you have given me. I pray now that I may be able in some way help others achieve a number of great things, through my knowledge and general help. I pray for your healing hand now on me as I try to recover.

The more lowly your service to others, the greater you are. To be the greatestm be a servant. - Matthew 23:11

God's Holy Spirit will not let us be taken advantage of.

Lord I thankyou for the people who have compassion in their hearts. I pray that those in real need would be given the love and time they deserve.

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give. - 2 Corinthians 9:7

God is always loving, just, and true - He wants us to be like Him.

Lord I pray that I make the right decisions when it comes to listening to you and knowing your love and grace. i thankyou for a beautiful day and just ask for your healing touch.

Remove my sin, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. - Psalm 51:7

God's encouragement comes to us through His spirit and His word saying - our breakthrough is near!

Lord I pray for encouragement in the areas that I could be stronger not only in my faith but in my everyday life. I pray for the people around me that they might help me when I need help and I will be able to return the favour.

David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. - 1 Samuel 30:6

God will never walk away, but will stay by our side.

Lord Jesus, I look now at these two passages for over the weekend and it just shows me how amazing you are, because the weekend away was on relationships, and love and purity and then I come home and you have waiting for me in this book the page about purity and relationships with partners. I thankyou for the young people in our church, that you have made them so unique and special in their own way. I pray that the ones who are unhappy or are going through hard times will know your love right now and the ones who are loving life, just keep remembering that you are giving them the amazing life. I pray now that you watch over the leaders and keep them protected as well. Thankyou Lord for a really good weekend where I have seen your love and greatness.
Dear God: I want to keep myself pure, despite all the temptations that fly around me. I don't want to be a slave to anything but your marvelous grace. Help me as I strive to live a life that is pleasing to you - a life that honours the body you've given me.

You know the guidelines we laid out for you from the Master Jesus. God wants you to live a pure life. - 1 Thessalonians 4:2-3

God promises our sincere efforts are never for nothing, always for something.

Lord I pray that if I ever feel to small for something and don't believe , then will you humble me and make me realise your strength and power that you can overcome any obstacle that comes my way.

Diligent hands bring wealth. - Proverbs 10:4

When we feel our weakest, God gives us His strength to build on.

Lord I pray for your strength in the coming days and weeks, I pray that you would totally engulf me with your love and I would use this to build on confidence and other aspects of my life.

My power works best in your weakness. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

God gave us parents to help us learn His ways.

Lord Jesus, I thankyou so much for the love and compassion my mum and dad have for me, my brothers, family and everyone else they meet. I would love to grow up and be anywhere near the standard of parent they have been to me. I thankyou so much that they have brought me to church from a baby, I thankyou for my church family as well. They have watched me grow and have taught me so many things. I thankyou Lord Jesus for blessing me with these people in my life.

Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord. - Ephesians 6:1

With God, we always get a second chance.

lord I thankyou so much that no matter what I do, you have the ultimate delete button. If I repent my sins then you delete them and there is no shame, guilt or penalties. I thankyou that you can wash me whiter than snow

Count yourself lucky, how happy you must be - you get a fresh start, your slate's wiped clean. - Psalm 32:1

Wonderful Father: As I study your word, I learn more and more about the promises you've given me - each one filled with grace and truth. Thankyou for your living word that helps me to live in that grace.

God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defence, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God's word. - Hebrews 4:12-13

Lord I'm sorry when I mess up and I just pray that you would forgive me and I would learn from experience and continue to grow with you.

God has given us the gift of rest.

Lord, I pray as I take on whats probably a good timetable in these next few months, that you keep me fresh and healthy. That I enjoy what I'm doing and that I will learn alot from my experience at the school and having to manage my time properly. I thankyou for the opportunities you present me to help me further my experiences. Thankyou

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. - Exodus 31:15

God provides an abundance of blessings every day - we must make sure we're not too busy to enjoy them.

Lord I pray that you will humble me with worldly things, however, never let me be content with an amount of you God. I pray that I am always asking for more of you, and wanting to grow in my knowledge of you. I thankyou that you keep on letting me know you are there everytime I see your love or compassion shown. I pray for the stalls in my life right now, that I might be able to slowly put them down and let them walk out of my life.

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have. - Hebrews 13:5

When we're headed in the wrong direction, God will always wave a caution flag.

Lord I thankyou for all my friends, christians and non-christians. They all play an important part of my life. I pray for those who are christians and the struggles they have, and I pray that you just fill them up with your spirit. And for my non-christian friends, I pray that you just use me to glorify you in my life as I try and set an example to them.

But it takes only one wrong person among you to infect all the others - a little yeast spreads quickly through the whole batch of dough! - Galatians 5:9

God is ready to help us win over our toughest competition.

Lord I pray that I can look at times when I fall down and note them and build on these experiences and look to how I can succeed in the long run. Thank you that you believe in me.

Overwhelming victoryt is ours through Christ, who loved us. - Romans 8:37

God's love is equipped to overhaul the most broken of hearts.

Lord I pray that you wash my spirit, make it whiter than snow. I thankyou Lord that you keep on reminding me it's whats on the inside and not the outside that counts. Me knowing that you are my king and Lord is far more important than looking good or having a nice car or the perfect hair. I thankyou that you continue to humble me.

God see's not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearence, but the Lord looks at the heart. - 1 Samuel 16:7

Precious Father: I want to know you that way Peter did - Intimately, Miraculously, Courageously, walking daily in the flow of grace that comes from your presence.
