My story so far

Dear Father: It's exciting to think about the things you have prepared for me in heaven - beauty and joy enough to last for all eternity. Thank you for all your gracious gifts, especially for giving me your grace and yourremarkable kingdom.

Jesus said, "Don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom." - Luke 12:32

Lord I thankyou so much for the young people in our church. They put a smile on my face everyday and the way they show each other care and friendship, anyone can learn from them. I pray that they all know your presene now and keep on being a great example to one another.

Adversity will make us rely on God, and we'll be stronger, smarter, and more determined.

God I pray that I can use my motivation in such things as sports to push myself in my life as a whole. Jesus I pray that I can use my skills and hunger and passion that I have to achieve success to really home my skills and make the best of my ability.

The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise are often poor, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don't always lead successful lives. - Ecclesiastes 9:11

Christ's love will carry us through whatever happens, even if today it feels impossble to make it to tomorrow.

Lord I thankyou for showing me real love. The love of sacrifice, the love that your son showed me by dieing on the cross. God I'm so sorry for the times when I have not recognised this love and I pray for forgivness.

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Isaiah 54:10

God is always ready to forgive our mistakes - and He'll never mention them again.

Lord I pray that I do what is right, and do it because it is right and then do it right. I thankyou that I can come to you and you forgive me and then I can start a fresh. Help me build a life on your word so that I am less prone to failure.

He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. - 1 John 1:9

With God so focused on us, we're free to focus on Him.

Lord I thankyou for the way you made me. I pray that you remind me not to look at other people's lives but at mine and how I can seek you more in it. I thankyou that you spent the time to create me into who I am and I pray I would spend more time learning about the creator of me.

Be content with who you are, and don't put on airs. God's strong hand is on you. - 1 Peter 5:6

God loves who we really are - not just the person everyone else sees.

Lord I pray that although I don't think I wear a mask, I pray that if I do and that I am not my true character around everyone, that you make me the person you want me to be.

The Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearence or his height, for I have rejected him... Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." - 1 Samuel 16:7

Heavenly father: Your interest and concern for me are the result of your love and grace in my life. I will never know why you choose to love me so, but I thankyou for it.

The Lord has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything there is. - Psalm 103:19

Lord I thankyou for my college friends. I pray that even though I have left college, I can still be a strong witness to them.

God tosses lots of opportunities to enrich other's lives, and when we take them, we'll be blessed as well.

Lord I thankyou for your gift of time to this world. Some people run around like there is no tomorrow God, but you tell me in this scripture to worry about today, today and worry about tomorrow when it comes. i thankyou for this gift of today Lord and I pray I use it properly. Thanks for the times when I have used time as a way to aid your kingdom.

DOn't brashly announce what you're going to do tomorrow; you don't know the first thing about tomorrow. - Proverbs 27:1

God provided rules to help us achieve the "abundant life" Jesus promised.

Lord, you are for me and not against me. The rules you have for me in my life are there to aid me in becoming a greater believer and wiser. I pray that I wise up and realise these rules are there in my path for a reason.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. - Psalm 119:105

God wants to be involved in every area of our lives, not just part of our routines.

Lord I pray that now I have lots of time, I pray that I spend all of it with you. Lord this summer I can home in on my listening, worship and god skills. Lord I pray that you make this summer a summer not where I got a great tan, but I developed a great relationship.

You will fill me with joy in your presence. - Psalm 16:11

The one who made the heavens will provide the perfect gifts for us.

Lord I thankyou for the gifts you have given me and I pray that I would use them as best as I can in whatever way possible, college, home or church.

Every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father who created all the lights in the heavens. - James 1:17

God loved us before the foundation of the world.

Lord I thankyou that I am not just your favourite child but you enscribed us all on your heart before creation began. I thankyou that I am part of the best family in the world, God's family.

Your are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. - 1 Peter 2:9

Dear Father: Thank you for your great love that holds me to you no matter what. Your grace is more than I can know or understand.

Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birthd; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, the days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day. - Psalm 139:16

Lord I pray that you will be with me tomorrow and that it is a productive day and you keep me in good health. Thankyou for giving me this opportunity.

God makes our lives rich by filling them with people.

Lord I thankyou for the people you have put in my life. The friends, the family, the leaders, the teachers, even the ones that do my nut in a bit. But thankyou that you have put them there so they can keep me on the right path with you.

We all have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away. - Proverbs 10:7

The light of God's divine love is so brilliant that it makes everything else dull in comparison.

Lord I pray that you knock me a peg down or two. To make me realise it's not all about me and what I want, the girlfriend, the material stuff, the great job. I need to leave all that and remember what you want from me. A christ like life at this moment in time. And I promise Lord from now on I will strive to give you this.

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. - 1 John 2:17

God has removed the debt, so that there will be no guilt.

Lord I thankyou for your son's sacrifice, and I am sorry for mocking his sacrifice with the sin in my life. I pray that I buck up and realise that his life has restored mine and your relationship and that I should start respecting this.

Nothing in all creation will ever be able to seperate us from the love of God. - Romans 8:39

Whatever we face, God has already fought this battle for us.

Lord I pray that everytime I am pulled one way by the devil, that you pull me ten times back your way and keep pulling. I know I mess up but I just thankyou for your mercy and protection.

Resist the devil, and he will run from you. Come near to God, and he will come near to you. - James 4:7-8

Whatever we can dream - God's dream for us is a little bigger.

Lord I trust that I can do all things in your strength. If I strive to achieve what you wish for me then it will come true, no matter what stumbles I may have.

Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With me thisis impossible; but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26

Heavenly Father: Show me how to pray for myself and also for others. I don't want to just say words; I want my words to matter.

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7

Lord I just pray that you take that anxiety away, that you just make me realise that some things are more important than others and to just relax, ease up and not think into things too much.

If we'll surrender our wills, God will show us the way.

Lord, this past week has been a fairly significant one. I pray that you know my prayer last night and I just give everything to you. If I surrender everything to you, I know without a shadow of a doubt that everything will be okay. I fully trust you Lord to sort me out.

Lord I thankyou that you place these hurdles in my life because then when I think back after them I realise that you are there with me all the way. I pray that I realise where I am going to go in my life and I pray that you keep guiding me.

God is our refuge and strength. - Psalm 46:1

God not only warns of danger, He also protects us from it.

Lord it says here that my conscience is vital. That it is led by the Holy Spirit. I pray that you would guide me through this summer and whatever you have planned for me I will enjoy, and help further your kingdom. Thankyou Jesus.

The more we fill our minds with good things, the easier it is for God to guide us.

Lord I pray that you guide my thoughts in the right direction to where you want them to go. I pray that you keep my options open and that I seek you first in all that I do. Please Lord be with me now.

Think about the things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. - Philippians 4:8

When God is on our side, we have nothing to fear.

Lord I pray now that you will keep me close and I pray that you take all my fear away right now that I am feeling. Please be with me and help me through everything that is going on.
